Latest Poll on what is Important to Growers when Selecting Soybean Varieties

On February 25th, Burrus and Hughes hosted the Burrus Agronomic Symposium.  One of the topics that I presented was the importance of our company bringing the best yielding soybean varieties each year into our line-up and variety selection.  In order to be successful, we listen to our customers!  I polled the Burrus/Hughes Agronomic Symposium audience, and here is what they had to say about soybean selection:

What was most important to the audience when selecting soybean varieties?  Well, of course, YIELD!

Herbicide traits are going to be a very, important factor in soybean selection due to the onset of weed resistance.  What herbicide traits were important to the audience when selecting future soybean varieties?  It appears that the Enlist E3 soybeans that combine tolerance to a new 2,4-D, glyphosate and glufosinate in a single molecular stack won!
What soybean varietal factors did the audience think determined yield?

This is just some of the information that Burrus and Hughes may consider during future soybean selection.  Below you can find what we focused on this year to bring you the NEW, 2017 Burrus/Hughes soybean line-up:

Once we provide our customers with the best soybean varieties, soybean selection and placement on your farm is very, important!  I covered some of my soybean selection tips in the following blog, Soybean Selection 101, at ILSoyAdvisor.com.
